BoybandPH—composed of winners of the talent-reality competition Pinoy Boyband Superstar namely singing heartthrobs Ford Valencia, Joao Constancia, Niel Murillo, Russell Reyes, and Tristan Ramirez—performed their first single “We Made It” together for the first time.
The song was written by Kiko Salazar and produced by Star Music
Murillo was announced as the first member of the boyband on Saturday night after having gained 98.63-percent, the highest figure from the combined public votes and scores of superstar judges Vice Ganda, Sandara Park, Yeng Constantino, and Aga Muhlach among the seven finalists.
On the show’s finale the following night, the scores were reset to zero for their solo performances with Reyes garnering 100-percent, Constancia 87.81-percent, Valencia 82.03-percent, and Ramirez 69.27-percent.
Finalists Tony Labrusca and Mark Oblea failed to get a spot in the boyband.
The five winners of Pinoy Boyband Superstar won exclusive contracts with Star Magic, recording contracts with Star Music, Yamaha motorcycles, and P5 million cash.
Additionally, the two-night Pinoy Boyband Superstar: The Grand Reveal featured a performance by award-winning singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, who was officially introduced as one of the judges of Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids, which will premiere in 2017. Judge Sandara Park also stunned viewers with her performance of her K-pop hit “Kiss.”
Hosted by Billy Crawford, Pinoy Boyband Superstar is the Philippine adaptation of La Banda created by Simon Cowell of American Idol fame.
