The Philippine Dragon Boat Federation (PDBF) will be gunning for medals in the prestigious 2015 World Nations Championships beginning today at the Welland International Flatwater Centre in Ontario, Canada.

The Filipino paddlers are aiming to sustain their impressive showing in international tournaments with PDBF President Marcia Cristobal leading the delegation.

The Philippines will be competing in the men’s 200m small boat, men’s 500m small boat, men’s 2,000m small boat, mixed 200m small boat, mixed 500m small boat and mixed 2,000m small boat events.

Recently, the PDBF bagged one gold and three bronzes in the 2015 Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival International Races held at the Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong. They also won silver medals in the 2015 Macau International Invita¬tional Dragon Boat Championship held in Nam Van Lake Nautical Center in Macau, China.


Last year, they earned two golds, one silver and one bronze in the 1st International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) Dragon Boat World Cup in Fuzhou, China, and one gold and two silvers in the Asian Dragon Boat Championships in Macau.
