Romblon, the Philippines’ marble country, welcomes Filipinos to participate at the 4th Marble Trade Fair to at the town capitol from January 10 to 19, 2014. It promises to be bigger, better and more exciting.
Themed “Through Almeres, Dolphins, Tiles and Beyond,” the fair is a benefit project of the Provincial Government of Romblon led by Gov. Eduardo Firmalo.
It will be highlighted by open competitions in two categories: 1) Marble Carving Design, and 2) Marble Design by Lathe Machine. Added features of the fair is the Marble Night Market which shows other products and design fashioned by marble artisans like balusters, lamps, vases, candleholders, wine glasses, rolling pins, necklace and pendants and other artistic and functional artworks made of marble.
Those who are not from Romblon will find your visit something to cherish and remember for a long time. It will be a double treat because the fair coincides with the town fiesta, the Biniray Festival in honor of Sto. Nino who made a homecoming after being presumed lost for 20 years.
Come, see, touch and own marble products only a Romblomanon artisan can make.
