The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT), through PLDT Home Fibr, is now offering broadband internet with upload and download speeds of up to 1 gigabytes per second (GBps).
The telco on Tuesday said it has launched a fiber-optic broadband internet with equal upload and download speeds of 1 GBps.
“These massive speed boosts and the new symmetrical speeds combined with our unparalleled offers let our subscribers experience the ultimate digital lifestyle at the comforts of their home. As the country’s most powerful broadband, PLDT HOME Fibr stands firm on its commitment to provide topnotch services for its consumers, reinforcing the strongest connections at home,” Gary Dujali, PLDT Home vice president said.
Home Fibr is powered by fiber-optic technology, a world standard for broadband, PLDT said, noting the facility spans 100,000 kilometers nationwide.
Earlier this year, Home Fibr upgraded from a minimum of 8 Megabytes per second (MBps) to 20 MBps and its 100 MBps plan to 200 MBps.
Home Fibr allows high-speed browsing of multiple websites, access to over 100 Cignal Digital TV channels and the country’s first symmetrical speed service.
With plans starting at P1,899, Fibr is now available in over 1,600 Fibr-powered villages nationwide including Valle Verde 1-6, Forbes Park, Dasmariñas Village and Ayala Alabang Village.
