THE Philippine National Police (PNP) is awaiting the approval of Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel ‘Mar’ Roxas 2nd on the proposed new police uniform. PNP spokesman Chief Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac said the uniform, which was first displayed to the public during Monday’s flag-raising ceremony at Camp Crame, is still undergoing ‘field testing’. Sindac described the proposed uniform as functional, durable, comfortable and presentable. If approved, this will be the third time that the police uniform is changed since the PNP replaced the Philippine Constabulary (PC) in the early 90’s.
