• PNP chief warns applicants vs use of spurious documents

PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Chief, Director Gen. Ricardo Marquez warned those aspiring to become a police officer against using fake documents in their application or face criminal and administrative charges. This came after the Civil Service Commission (CSC) discovered fake eligibility papers of some 21 police personnel in Central Luzon to avoid the entrance examination administered by the National Police Commission (Napolcom). Marquez said among the measures to ensure that their personnel are fit for the police service are the random drug testing, other tests and evaluation. The PNP’s recruitment is ongoing to augment the 150,000-strong national police organization.
