THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday mulls for the postponement of barangay election in Zamboanga City that lay in ruins following three weeks of fighting between government troops and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). PNP chief, Director General Alan Purisima said there is a need to move for the postponement of the coming barangay elections in Zamboanga City as they have yet to complete their clearing operations. “Our recommendation for Zamboanga City is for the postponement of the barangay elections in the whole city,” Purisima told reporters during a press briefing in Camp Crame.
