• PNP probes Bediones sex video


    THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday launched an investigation on the alleged sex video of TV host Paolo Bediones following reports that he is allegedly being blackmailed for the scandal. The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) is taking the lead in the investigation of the video that has been uploaded on the Internet and has gone viral in social media sites for the past few days. Chief Insp. Jay Guillermo said they checking the links of the uploaded video to trace the uploader. He said Bediones went to Camp Crame on Thursday to formally report the proliferation of the six-minute video. Bediones said he has received two letters threatening him should he refuse to give in to the blackmailer’s demands. The ACG advised Bediones to formally file a complaint so the ACG can take action against the uploaders of the video. Guillermo said, quoting Bediones’ account, the private (sex-video) was five years old and was supposedly stored in his laptop which was sent to a repair shop after it broke down. Three months after the laptop was repaired, Bediones got a blackmail letter which he ignored.
