Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chairman Jose Jorge E. Corpuz clarified that the 2.5 percent charity share of PNP in the small town lottery or STL is not a financial support to fund its daily operations but is intended to support the PNP’s medical and health programs.
Corpuz emphasized that the PCSO also grants this financial assistance to other government institutions fighting illegal gambling, like the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
