PNP: Stray bullet incidents now 59


MANILA: The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced on Saturday that the number of stray bullet incidents during the New Year’s Eve revelry has now climbed to 59.

PNP spokesperson Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor said the incidents include 17 in the National Capital Region, three in Region 1, one in Region 2, three in Region 3, seven in Region 4A, one in Region 5, 13 in Region 6, one in Region 7, four in Region 8, one in Region 9, one in Region 12 and seven for the Cordillera region.

As of Saturday, the Police continued with its investigation on the death of an 11-year-old Jercy Tabaday in Abra province, with the Guardians Reform Advocacy & Cooperation towards Economic prosperity (Grace) offering P100,000 to anyone who could provide an information leading to the arrest of the person who fired a caliber .45 pistol and eventually killing the girl.

  1. The best is to ban the fireworks and then we can distinguished those firing their guns.
    The other suggestion is to reward those people who report people who fired their guns.
