PNP’S ‘OPLAN KATOK’ NETS 8 FIREARMS

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union: The San Fernando City Police Station has accounted for eight firearms, six deposited and two surrendered, in line with its intensified campaign “Oplan Katok” and “Implan” SAFE (Secure And Fair Election) during the Barangay Election 2013. Police Supt. Julius Suriben, officer-in-charge of the San Fernando Police, reported on Thursday to Mayor Pablo Ortega that one firearm was surrendered by Barangay Chairman Danilo Jucutan of Camansi. Surrendered by Jucutan was one Cal. 38 Armscor revolver with serial number 112358 without ammunition, which was found by residents during a cleanup drive in a mountainous area in their village on October 13.
