PNR implements new train schedule today

The Philippine National Railways (PNR) implements a new schedule in its Tutuban-Alabang service starting today.
PNR said the Tutuban-Alabang route will operate from 5:05 a.m. until 7:05 p.m. while the Alabang-Tutuban route will operate from 5:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
The complete schedule can be found at the PNR’s official website and social media accounts.
The PNR resumed limited service on July 23 after its two-month suspension. PNR had to halt operations after its derailment on April 29 in Magallanes, Makati City and the rehabilitation works that followed.
Management said that rail safety concerns identified by third-party consultant TUV Rheinland have been satisfactorily addressed.
PNR was initially set to resume operations on June 15 to accommodate the impending increase of passengers. However, the consultant failed to issue a certificate.
Trial runs were also conducted several times last month. The rail system also underwent repairs — anti-theft screws were also placed to prevent parts of rails from being stolen. PNA
