RUNNING mates Senator Grace Poe and Francis “Chiz” Escudero will be casting their votes in San Juan City (Metro Manila) and Sorsogon City respectively today and will be voting for the candidates of the Partido Galing at Puso.
Poe, who remains confident of winning the presidential race despite limited resources and absence of political machinery, said that like their “Gobyernong May Puso” advocacy, no one will be left behind in their team when casting their votes.
“We will vote as one and as a team, walang iwanan (no one will be left behind),” Poe said in a chance interview during the PGP’s miting de avance at Plaza Miranda in Quiapo, Saturday night.
Poe is expected to arrive at polling precinct No. 0349A, Sta. Lucia Elementary School at D. Vicencio St., San Juan City between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Escudero on the other hand will be at of Buhatan Elementary School in Barangay Buhatan, Sorsogon City to cast his vote between 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.
Aside from Poe and Escudero, the entire PGP slate includes reelectionist Sens. Vicente Sotto 3rd, and Sen. Ralph Recto; former Sens. Richard Gordon and Juan Miguel Zubiri; Reps. Neri Colmenares (Bayan Muna), Roman Romulo (Pasig City), Sherwin Gatchalian (Valenzuela City), and Samuel Pagdilao (ACT-CIS); actor Edu Manzano; Lawyer Lorna Kapunan; overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) advocate Susan Ople; and Manila City vice mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso, who are also expected to vote for the Poe-Escudero tandem.
Of the 12 senatorial candidates carried by PGP, only five bets made it to the top 12 in the survey conducted by Pulse Asia.
They are Gatchalian, Gordon, Recto, Sotto, and Zubiri, but Domagoso, Manzano and Colmenares are just several points behind the candidate at the 12th slot.
