Poe says barangay should fight illegal drugs

THE Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) should come up with a mechanism that will enhance the coordination and collaboration between the Philippine National Police (PNP) and barangays in anti-illegal drugs campaign, according to Senator Grace Poe.

Poe, who heads the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, insisted that there should be a clear mechanism in place to ensure better coordination between the PNP and the barangay officials in the reporting of drug-related activities.
