• POEA lifts deployment ban to Venezuela, Israel, West bank

THE Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) on Tuesday lifted the deployment ban of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to Venezuela, while it also allowed to resume the processing and deployment of newly-hired OFWs to Israel and Westbank. Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, who also chairs the POEA governing board, said the decision to lift the deployment ban came after the Department of Foreign Affairs lowered the alert levels in the three countries tries because of improvements in the security situation there.
