Poland’s Szczepanski suspected of doping

WARSAW: European swimming bronze medalist Sebastian Szczepanski was on Monday (Tuesday in Manila) linked to a failed drugs test by Poland’s anti-doping commission. The 21-year-old Szczepanski, who has already been suspended for doping, faces a ban of between four and eight years if found guilty, Rynkowski said. The swimmer who took 50m and 100m bronze at the short course championships in December was banned for six months when he was competing as a junior. The most recent samples were taken at the December 17-20 Polish Championships in Lublin where he won the 100m freestyle gold.
