POLICE arrested three suspected big-time drug traffickers and seized P400 million worth of shabu during a raid at a ranch in Lipa City on Christmas Day.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) public information director, Chief Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac identified the suspects as Gary Tan, Argay Argenos Ledesma and Rochelle Argenos Mercado.
Sindac said a team from the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Force (AID-SOTF) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raided the LPL Ranch in Barangay Inosloban, Lipa.
The raiders found about 84 kilos of shabu packed in vacuum-sealed plastic packets hidden inside four pieces of luggage. The banned substance could fetch P400 million on the street.
A .45 caliber pistol with a magazine and 10 live rounds and a 12-gauge Winchester shotgun with four rounds were also found in the ranch, Sindac said.
The suspects were brought to the AID-SOTF headquarters in Camp Crame.
The recovered items were turned over to the PDEA Laboratory Service for analysis, Sindac said.
