Police major killed in ambush


A Quezon City police major was killed in an ambush carried out by four men on motorcycles yesterday afternoon.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Chief Supt. Richard Albano said Inspector Rodelio Diongco was gunned down at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Albano said Diongco was on board his owner-type jeepney when the suspects fired at him. The police official was able to fire back but was overpowered by the suspects.

In Fox News report, there was a finding in some States that the safety helmet used by riders are accident prone since riders could not see the left or right side when they turn and depend on their side mirror which is very inaccurate. The also report said that safety helmet used by soldiers during WWI is safer.
    Why don’t our LTO make their own tests so that if proven correct, they set up a standard here for improve safety helmet like those used by soldier during WW I as the riders can turn on their head left and right easily. And most of all this kind of helmet will prevent the murders by riding in tandem as their faces are not entirely covered and can be seen by people and CCTV.
