The reports said that two were arrested by elements of the Unisan Municipal Police Station in Quezon after their victim “Karen” (not her real name) escaped from their custody in Brgy. Caigdal, Unisan, Quezon.
Unisan chief of police, Senior Insp. Julius Alvaro said that “Karen” was abducted by two late Sunday night in Makati City after the victim came from her work and boarded a taxi, driven by Sarabosing, at Makati Ave., in Makati City.
The police official said that after an hour of travel, the taxi made a quick stop at Buendia-Edsa aand Sarabosing unloaded the other Aumentado, who unknown to the victim was hiding at the taxi’s trunk.
Aumentado then boarded the vehicle and sat beside “Karen” and at knife point, demanded from her the amount of P20, 000, but victim told that she had no money and instead surrendered her two ATM cards to the suspects, the police official said.
The vehicle then proceeded first somewhere in Laguna where the suspects withdrew cash from the victim’s ATM cards and then proceeded to a forested area in Brgy. Pag-Auasan, Unisan, Quezon.
The police official said that Aumentado left the area to return the taxi to its owner, while Sarabosing was left to watch over their victim, but fell asleep, which Karen took advantage, got out of the house and sought help of local residents.
The village chairman of the area instructed the village watchmen who saw Karen to coordinate and report the said incident with the Unisan Municipal Police Station leading to the arrest of Sarabosing.
