POLICE have recovered on Tuesday afternoon boxes of explosive ingredients left by unidentified persons near a store in a remote village in Rosario, Agusan del Sur, police reports said on Thursday.
Reports at the Philippine National Police operations center in Camp Crame said that two boxes of ingredients for explosives were discovered near a store owned by a certain Jeraldine Gamayon, at Purok-6, Bayugan-3, Rosario of said province.
Reports said that Rosario Municipal Police received a telephone call reporting that a suspicious unattended baggage were left at the premises of the said store, prompting the dispatch of several policemen to the area.
Policemen found and recovered two carton boxes marked with “Superdyne” explosive and three sacks containing some 25 kilograms of granules marked with “ammonium nitrate,” which are ingredients for explosives, reports said.
The reports said that no one claimed ownership of the boxes as the recovered items were placed under the custody of the Rosario Municipal Police station for safekeeping and proper disposition.
