MORE than a hundred persons have been arrested during the first week of the election gun-ban imposed by the authorities for the upcoming village elections on October 28, police said Saturday.

Figures from the Philippine National Police (PNP) showed that around 102 persons were arrested for election gun ban violations since its implementation on September 28, with civilians as the top violators.
