JOHANNESBURG: South Africa’s Kyalami racetrack, which hosted Formula One Grand Prix races for almost two decades, was bought by Porsche for nearly $20 million at an auction last week.

“It’s Porsche South Africa that has been the successful bidder,” said auctioneer Joff van Reenen, adding that it was South Africa’s highest auction price on a single lot.
