Porsche continues its winning streak at the International Engine of the Year Awards this 2018. The globally renowned award-giving body is comprised of 65 international motor sports journalists who select the best engines in a number of categories.
Porsche took the 1.8- to 2.0-liter title with its 2.0-liter turbo from the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman. Four-cylinder flat engines have a long tradition at Porsche – and they have enjoyed incredible success. Whether it was competing at the 12-hour race in Sebring or at the European Hill Climb Championship, the Porsche 718 prevailed against numerous competitors with its powerful and efficient four-cylinder flat engine.
