Philippine band Tarsius is set to share the stage with Spanish act Dolorean for the third leg of Posporo(s) collaborative concerts on November 19 at The XX XX in Makati.
Posporo(s) aims to ignite collaboration between Spanish and Filipino independent musicians through monthly pair up gigs in different music hubs across the Metro. The XX XX gig will be the third in the Posporo(s) concert series that started in September.
Thebar@1951 in Malate hosted the first ever Posporo(s) gig featuring local band The Sleepyheads and Spain’s Pablo Und Destruktion & La Tribu del Trueno. Following the Malate mash-up was the band Kalayo with Spanish act Solea Morente and guest DJ Parallel Uno at the 70s Bistro on October 22.
Posporo(s) collaborative gigs are spearheaded by the Embassy of Spain in the Philippines and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, with the support of Instituto Cervantes, Union Fonographica
Independiente and Radio Republic. The concert series seek to open channels for Filipino audience to listen to Spanish music while promoting and supporting emerging and established local indie acts.
The concert series shall continue until December and will be capped with performances from Susie Ibarra Band, Mastretta and other music acts.
