An election commissioner admitted that the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is “lacking time” for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) polls leading them to ask for its postponement.
Commissioner Lucenio Tagle said that Comelec has sent a request to Congress as well as the Office of the President to postpone the barangay and SK elections scheduled for October, this year.
