TUGUEGARAO CITY: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will carry out today and on Thursday 10-hour power interruptions in parts Cagayan, Apayao and Kalinga provinces for their Annual Preventive Maintenance (ATM).
The power shutdown that will be carried out today from 8 am to 6 pm will affect parts served by the Cagayan Electric Cooperative (CAGELCO) I–Baybayog Substation and the entire CAGELCO II.
Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP North Luzon corporate communication and public affairs officer, said the power interruption will be caused by the replacement of selected wood poles and line hardwares along Alcala-Magapit 69-kilovolt (KV) line.
The power shutdown on Thursday is from 8 am to 6 pm and will affect the CAGELCO I–Solana, Carig and Piat Substations and entire Kalinga Electric Cooperative. ATM covers the possible repair of their momentary power interruption to isolate and reconnect the affected line and replacement of selected wood poles and line hardwares along Solana-Tabuk 69-kV line segment.
“Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. NGCP customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption,” Gaydowen said.
