SOME areas in Pampanga province will experience a 10-hour power outage today.
In an advisory, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said the power interruption will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. because of maintenance work.
“This is to facilitate the replacement of conductors, installation of overhead ground wire along Mexico-PIMU 69-kilovolt line, reconditioning of Pao Disconnect Switch simultaneous with hotspot correction and other corrective works at Mexico Substation,” NGCP said.
The maintenance work will affect the distribution utility Pampanga III Electric Cooperative Inc.
Among the affected areas are Apalit, San Simon, Macabebe, Minalin, Masantol and Sto. Tomas all in Pampanga.
NGCP assured the public normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption.
