Saying President Benigno Aquino 3rd is his primary critic, vice presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday said he knows the persons behind the continued attacks against him and his family.
“For sure the attacks will continue. I have drawn their attention after I started surging in surveys. I am thankful to them, in fact,” Marcos said.
“More demolition jobs will follow from various corners. We actually expect those attacks to continue,” the Ilocano senator told reporters at the sidelines of his campaign in Barangay Pag-ibig sa Nayon in District 1, Quezon City.
A group on Wednesday filed a plunder complaint against Marcos at the Office of the Ombudsman.
“We answered those allegations already. People are not buying their accusations. On the contrary, people are receptive to my message of unity,” he said.
“The President is on top of these demolition jobs. I know the others too,” said Marcos, who was welcomed by hundreds of residents of Barangay U.P. (University of the Philippines).
“It is not fair to be accused of something that I did not do. Just because of politics they will resort to a demolition job. That is not fair,” he said.
Marcos said there is nothing new with the case filed by a group called “iBalik and Bilyones sa Mamamayan” or iBBM.
