A team from President-elect Rodrigo Duterte’s camp flew to Manila to meet with the presidential protocol officers in Malacañang, his spokesman said.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Duterte’s spokesman Peter Laviña said the team will conduct an ocular inspection of the Palace.
“A four-person team from the Davao City Mayor’s Office is now on its way to Malacanañg for an initial ocular inspection and briefing from the Palace Protocol Office,” said Laviña, who is also part of Duterte’s transition team.
Laviña, however, would not disclose the composition of the team sent to Malacañang.
Duterte will be starting his work as President on June 30, the day of his proclamation.
