• Presidential bets asked to donate to ‘Nona’ victims

TIME out from politicking and start doing real service to those in dire need of help after being battered by Typhoon Nona.

Former Metro Manila Development Authority Chairman Francis Tolentino, himself running for senator as an independent candidate in next year’s elections, asked this of presidential contenders Vice President Jejomar Binay, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Grace Poe to allot a small portion of their huge campaign kitties to the victims of the typhoon.

Tolentino also asked the public as well to open their hearts and wallets this Christmas for the victims.

He said those who have enough to spare–clothes, food, water and even money to donate them to charitable institutions handling relief efforts, or to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

“Might I, on behalf of the thousands of families affected by Typhoon Nona, appeal to my fellow candidates and the people who have extra money or goods to spare this season, in the spirt of Christmas, which is really all about giving, that they allocate a portion to the victims of the typhoon,” Tolentino added.

The Visayas region was battered the most by Nona.

    1. Did Tolentino opened his wallet to give to victims of Nona? If he is advocating generosity he should be the first one to give so that other candidates will follow. Is this an epal for his candidacy?
