Five oil companies adjusted pump prices effective 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Chevron, Petron Philippines, Pilipinas Shell, Seaoil and Phoenix Petroleum cut the per-liter price of gasoline by 50 centavos, but raised that of diesel by 20 centavos and kerosene by 25 centavos.
Last August 6, oil firms rolled back gasoline prices by 35 centavos per liter. However, they raised the price of kerosene by 25 centavos per liter.
On July 27, gasoline prices dropped by P1.70 per liter and diesel by 25 centavos, the first rollback after nine consecutive hikes in 10 weeks.
