The country’s top shuttlers will be vying for honors in the 9th Prima Pasta Badminton Championships on February 25 to 28 and March 5 to 6 at the Powersmash Badminton Courts in Pasong Tamo, Makati City.
The annual tourney has once again extended the number of play dates from five days in 2015 to six days this year because of the growing number of participants.
In partnership with the Philippine Badminton Association, the annual badminton tournament is part of the Philippine National Ranking System, wherein aspirants in the Open Division will be able to earn points for the national ranking.
The tournament will feature men’s doubles and mixed doubles from Open class, to levels A to G, while Open Class and levels B to F will only be available in the women’s doubles.
The open singles will be available only in the men and women’s categories.
Top badminton players Marky Alacala, Poca Alcala, Paul Vivas, Joper Escueta, Peter Gabriel Magnaye and Ronel Estanislao are the expected to participate in the six-day national competition.
