IRANIAN wrestler Kamal “Prince of Persia” Shalorus is ready to go toe-to-toe against Philippine mixed martial arts legend Eduard “The Landslide” Folayang in a nontitle lightweight bout in One Fighting Championship (FC) Rise to Power at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday.
“He [Folayang] is a good fighter and very aggressive. Good luck. I’ll come after you [Folayang] so be ready,” Shalorus (7-3-2 win-loss-draw card) told The Manila Times at the Midas Hotel on Monday.
Shalorus, who is also competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, has lost his three previous fights in the said tourney. He said that his goal right now is to conquer One FC, “I train so hard and do my best every fight because my goal is to become champion. Right now, my goal is to be a One FC champion.”
Folayang, the former Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) welterweight champion, is fresh from an intensive training camp in the United States. He is aiming to recover from his loss to American Lowen Tynanes in the URCC in December last year.
