Protestors barricade Athletics Kenya offices for second day

NAIROBI: Protesting Kenyan athletes camped for the second day inside the Athletics Kenya headquarters on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila), accusing officials of corruption and demanding doping allegations be properly investigated. The protestors include former world marathon record holder Wilson Kipsang, who is also the chairman of the Professional Athletes Association of Kenya (PAAK), and the 2012 Boston marathon winner-turned politician, Wesley Korir. The athletes and sports ministry officials held talks Tuesday to try to end the standoff. Tuwei and the other AK officials have been barred from their offices since Monday morning.
