The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) will hold a Radio Broadcast Workshop on November 28 at the GMA Network Center in Quezon City.
In partnership with GMA Network’s AM Radio Station DZBB, the workshop is part of the Professional Development Series of the PRSP for the year. It aims to enlighten communication practitioners on the distinct demands of a radio network in presenting news to the public.
Moreover, the workshop hopes to increase awareness of the participants on the standards and processes of radio news reporting straight from the station’s veteran broadcasters through lectures and simul-ated media interviews. The interactive exercises will provide media training and valuable tips from real reporters. The workshop culminates with a tour of the GMA Studios to give the attendees a closer look at the facilities of the broadcast company.
With immersion and continued learning experience in mind, the committee this year decided to organize a series of workshops that will enable PR professionals to interact with real journalists from the print, broadcast and online media.
Professional Development Committee Chairman Claire Papa shares, “I am looking forward to the broadcast workshop because we have the full commitment and support of Radio GMA Network’s president and one of the country’s most respect-ed broadcast journalists Mike Enriquez. The success of our first leg also inspires us to present a fruitful and enlightening experience for those who will participate.”
The broadcast workshop will start at 8 a.m. on November 28 at the 17/F of the GMA Network Center. Interested parties may contact Ruth or Maan of the PRSP Secretariat at 814-0266 or 623-9479.
