The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM) said it will procure for P9.11 billion a combined 252.86 million liters of industrial fuel oil (IFO) to ensure sustained operations this year of seven state-owned power plants.
It said in a bid invitation to interested suppliers that it will purchase 115 million liters of industrial fuel for the Western Mindanao Power Corp. in Sarangani, 60 million liters for the Southern Philippines Power Corp. in Zamboanga City, 36.16 million liters for the Naga Power Plant Complex in Cebu, 26.5 million liters for the Malaya Thermal Power Plant in Rizal, 9.83 million liters for Power Barge 104 in Davao City and 5.37 million liters for the twin power barges 101 and 102 of the plant in Iloilo.
“The IFO procurement projects are necessary to ensure the continued operation of these power facilities this year,” said PSALM president and chief executive officer Emmanuel Ledesma Jr.
To participate in the bidding, interested bidders to pay a non-refundable fee of P75,000 for each of the power plants and P50,000 for each of the three power barges. Bidding documents have been made available for purchase since April 4, and payments may be made in cash or check, cashier’s or manager’s check.
A pre-bid conference for interested suppliers will be held tomorrow at 10 am at its Makati City office. It is open only to those who purchased the bidding documents.
All bids must be submitted by 10 am on April 22 and evaluation of bids will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on the same day. Late submissions will not be accepted.
