STATE-run Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) Corporation has started the bidding process for the supply and delivery of oil-based fuel and lubricants for its various power plants.
PSALM conducted a pre-bid conference on Thursday. Only interested parties who have purchased bidding documents were allowed to attend the pre-bid conference.
In accordance with government procurement policies, PSALM set the deadline for the submission of bids on or before May 28.
PSALM said the bid covers seven procurement projects wherein the funding would be sourced out from its corporate operating budget.
PSALM is in need of suppliers for industrial fuel oil (IFO), industrial diesel oil (IDO), and engine lubricating oil (ELO) for its various power plants across the country with a total cost of P216.29 million.
Among the power plants to be rationed with fuel are: Power Barge 104, Malaya Thermal Power Plant (TPP in Rizal, Southern Philippines Power Corp. (SPPC) in Zamboanga City, and Western Mindanao Power Corp. (WMPC) in Sarangani.
Its Power Barge 104 is in need of six million liters of IFO with an approved budget of P130 million; 800,000 liters of IDO ( P22 million) and 240,000 liters of ELO (P21 million).
The Malaya Thermal Power Plant needs about 1.5 million liters of IDO with an approved budget of P41 million while SPPC has a requirement of 60,000 liters of IDO with a budget of P1.7 million.
Western Mindanao Power Corporation meanwile needs 20,000 liters of IDO with an approved budget of P596,445.
