The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended the morning trade in
green, rising for the 5th straight session by 7.91 points or 0.12
percent to 6,534.53. The further improvement in the Philippine shares
was buoyed by the Wall Street’s overnight ascent by around 100 points.
The wider all shares also inched up by 0.15 percent, or 5.98 points to 3,977.24.
However, it was a mixed result for sectoral indices after half of them
registered gains and the other half posted losses.
Financials, Holding firms, and mining and oil were the sectors that
managed to end in green, while industrial services, and property are
currently in the red.
