Following the Dow Jones pick up that raised local equities on Tuesday, the Philippine benchmark stock index rallied once again, collecting over 100 points by noon.
At trading session break today, the Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained 110.98 points or 1.82 percent to 6,200.70, while wider all shares index added 51.20 points or 1.38 percent to 3,771.73.
Sectoral indices went up as financials increased slightly by 1.20 percent or 17.20 points to 1,487.87 and industrial perked up by 1.56 percent or 147.31 points to 9,563.13.
Holding firms and services also surged—holding firms rising by 1.63 percent or 87.80 points to 5,482.65 and services boost by 1.64 percent or 31.80 points to 1,967.92.
Further, mining and oil ascended by 1.25 percent or 165.34 points to 13,413.56 while property inched up by 2.64 percent or 59.90 points to 2,330.50.
On Tuesday, the Philippine Stock Exchange index was raised by 1.54 percent, or 92.68 points to 6,089.72, while the wider all-shares barometer ascended by 1.28 percent, or 47.04 points to 3,720.53. KRISTYN NIKA M. LAZO
