The Philippine Swimming League (PSL) continues its grassroots development program with the staging of the 74th PSL-Diliman Preparatory School Leg Series dubbed as the 2015 Capiztahan Swim Meet and Open Water Competition beginning today at the Villareal Stadium in Roxas City.
The event will serve as qualifying for international competitions in Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, China, India and Thailand.
“This is open to all. Everyone can join, participate and submit their entries. PSL is busy with its events, coming from successful international competitions in Thailand and Australia, we immediately proceed to regional competition to select swimmers for the next international competitions that we’ll be joining,” said PSL President Susan Papa.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers by age group (6-under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-over) in the competition supported by Capiz Provincial Government headed by Governor Victor Tanco, One Capiz Foundation, Las Islas Travel and Tours and Capiz Turbo Sharks Swim Club headed by Jose Borres.
Trophies will also be distributed to the Most Outstanding Swimmer awardees by age group. Entry Fee is P500 for the two-day meet.

Kyla Soguilon and Aubrey Tom bagged seven golds each in the 2015 Phuket Swimming Championship while a 10-member team led by Sean Terence Zamora claimed 41 golds, 12 silvers and nine bronzes in the 2015 Indian Ocean All Stars Challenge in Perth.
