The Philippine Swimming League (PSL) will hold a tournament dubbed The 2nd Langoy Capiz this weekend at the Villareal Stadium in Roxas, Capiz. The event is a qualifying tilt for the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea.
The Capiz Provincial Government through the Provincial
Tourism Office provided the venue for the tournament. A six-man swimming team will represent Capiz State University.
“We want to give opportunities to the less fortunate students. We want to show them nothing is impossible. We are happy to help them make it to the Universiade. It is their participation that will make the difference in their life,” said PSL President, Susan Papa.
The meet is part of PSL’s grassroots development program in Western Visayas.
The 66th PSL leg series will be held in cooperation with Capiz Turbo Shark swim club led by the PSL Regional Director Jose Borres.
