Philippine Swimming League (PSL) standout Heather Linasan White bagged 10 gold medals in the 3rd Seals Swim Club Swimming Championship held at the Kampala Parents School swimming pool in Kampala, Uganda.
White copped her first gold medal in the girls’ 10-under 200m breaststroke after submitting three minutes and 41.82 second then followed it up with another impressive showing in the 9-10 100m Individual Medley via a 1:25.45-minute performance to pocket her second gold.
The British School Manila student continued to make waves in the pool as she secured gold medals in the 9-10 100m backstroke (1:27.16), 9-10 50m freestyle (34.50), 12-under 200m backstroke (3:01.13), 9-10 100m butterfly (1:27.05), 15-over 400m IM (5:50.76), 9-10 50m butterfly (36.41), mixed 10-under 200m IM (2:42.41) and mixed 15-over 200m IM (2:09.58).
White also won a silver in the 14-under 200m IM relay (2:30.04) and a bronze in the 12-under 200m butterfly (3:18.53).
Her elder brother Ruben also contributed three gold, one silver and three bronzes in the boys’ division of the tournament which drew more than 200 tankers from different parts of the region.
Ruben topped the 11-12 100m butterfly (1:22.09), 15-over 400m IM relay (4:42.91) and 11-12 50m butterfly (35.05) then placed second in the 14-under 200m IM (2:33.96).
He also delivered bronzes in the 11-12 100m IM (1:22.18), 12-under 200m butterfly (3:31.29) and 14-over 200m IM (2:42.84).
The White siblings are regular participants in the PSL National Series. They also represented the country in some major international tournaments in Hong Kong and Singapore.
