Last year, the PSL copped a total of 50 medals on 34 golds, six silvers and 10 bronzes.

“We want to expose them in international competitions to gauge their skills because these kids are the future of Philippine swimming. We are here to support them to become champions,” added Papa.

Papa also thanked the Filipino community in Australia including Vicki Wotherspoon, George Embido and Carmela Embido from Mandurah, who promised for an all-out support during the competition. The other supporters are Marino Salinas, Ali Gabunia, Chit Gabunia, Cecilia Bolasoc Orchard, Ofilia Leady, Bien Dela Cerna, Rey Padernilla, Ramona Padernilla, Michael Soriano, Arturo Soriano of Muffin Break, Rey Lucio of Cabalen Catering, Maila of Sugba Resto, Fortune Villanueva, Nitoy Chan, Boyet Maribbay, Noble Mcconkey, Cecil Orchard, Jessie Cajustin and Fr.
