Filipinos who are gifted with song will have the opportunity to undergo a six-month intensive training in South Korea and a five-year exclusive performing arts contract with a Korean company, that is, if they win a brand new singing search.
Together with the People’s Television Network, Inc. (PTV 4), the HBKOR, Inc. and several partners are launching K-Pop Idol Search (KIS Pinoy) K (KIS Pinoy), a unique platform to develop world-class marketable Filipino artists.
The competition is open to all Filipino individuals, 14 to 35 years old, who love to sing and dance, and dream of becoming a world stage performer. Interested parties must have no existing management and recording contracts, locally and internationally.
PTV4 consultant, Kim Jung-Su explains, “KIS Pinoy is a competition that integrates the ultimate artistic expression of body and voice to convey a total stage performance par excellence, such as singing, dancing, stage appeal and bearing, fashion and get-up, make-up and hairstyle, and other elements required of a total stage performer.”
A unique platform to bring Filipino performing artists on the world stage, PTV4 general manager Cleo Dongga-as claims that K-Pop Idol Search will help the young Filipino to achieve world-class stature, and be marketable worldwide. Dongga-as thus call on all individuals and entities to set in motion a national campaign to draw the “Pinoy” K-Pop hopefuls to an opportunity to excel in the entertainment industry as world-class performing artists.
The preliminary search will be from April 1 to August 31. Interested individuals should create an original audition video to be personally handed over to the HBKOR Secretariat. HBKOR will be tour around the Philippines to accept entries. (Locations and dates of availability of the HBKOR Secretariat are to be found at www.kispinoy.com).
