A top drug pusher was killed during a buy-bust inside a private subdivision in a suburban village in Iriga City, Camarines Sur, after he engaged authorities in a shootout on Tuesday. Reports reaching the Philippine National Police’s National Operation Center in Camp Crame in Quezon City said the buy-bust took place around 5:30 a.m. in San Antonio Subdivision, Barangay San Roque. The Camarines Sur Police director, Senior Supt. Walfredo Pornillos, identified the slain drug suspect as Nicolas Morallo Jr., 59, of Zone 1, Santa Cruz in Iriga City. Pornillos said Morallo has been under police surveillance for his links to the illegal drug trade in the city.
