ORION, Bataan: A suspected drug trader was killed on Sunday night after he engaged police operatives in a firefight during a buy-bust in Sitio Bangad, Barangay Santo Domingo here. Chief Insp. Eduardo Guevarra Jr., Orion police chief, identified the victim as Mario Manalo alias “Palmolive,” who was reportedly trading illegal drugs in Orion and other areas in the province. Reports said Manalo arrived at the agreed site backriding in a motorcycle to meet up with a client. He, however, suspected the presence of other undercover policemen in the area, prompting him to open fire at the poseur buyer. The unknown rider fled with the motorcycle. Recovered from Manalo was a caliber 38 revolver with four live ammunition and two empty shells and three small heat-sealed sachets of shabu.
