THE AGRICULTURE sector bounced back in the third quarter of the year, the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Tuesday, noting the higher output in crops, livestock and poultry subsectors has overcome the long-term impact of El Niño.
Farm output grew 2.98 percent in the third quarter of 2016, reversing a 0.06 percent contraction a year earlier, the statistics office noted in the July-September 2016 Performance of Philippine Agriculture report.
