THE Quezon City government has activated its own emergency hotline to enable residents to immediately seek help for any emergencies.

Residents, visitors and those transiting Quezon City can dial 122 and their call will be directed to the city’s Emergency Operations Center.

The hotline is open 24/7. Duty officers from various law enforcement and frontline service units such as the Quezon City Police District, Bureau of Fire Protection, QC.

Department of Public Order and Safety, Disaster Risk and Reduction Office, Radio Communications Service and Public Affairs and Information Services Office are also stationed in the Emergency Operations Center.

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista will formally launch QC 122 hotline when he delivers his State of the City Address this month.

Elmo San Diego, chief of the QC Department of Public Order and Safety, said the activation of the hotline completes the full roll out of the city’s enhanced emergency services capability upgrade.

“What Quezon City is having under Mayor Herbert Bautista’s leadership is an integrated, seamless and end-to-end operations system,” he said.

The city government launched in August the Emergency Operations Center which is equipped with a state-of-the-art surveillance system.

  1. Better if Bistek concentrates on 24/7 construction of public works that cause traffic at the Katipunan Ext., Pansol Balara. The slow stop and start DPWH, Q.C. project is overdue for half a year already.

This is stupid, there is a already 911, Herbert just wants to intercept calls made against his protected drug lords. If you call this and reported a drug crime in QC, you will end-up with a cardboard and dead.

This is a brilliant initiative –Would be great if this were a national policy..I would be grateful if some one could enlighten me,, as to what happens when one calls the ambulance …I am told there is a fee of 4000 p..
What if you don’t have this fee?
