A Quezon City Councilor identified a police official as an alleged protector of big time drug pushers during a session at City Hall. Quezon City councilor Ranulfo “Rannie” Ludovica (2nd District), during his privilege speech, identified Quezon City Police District Station 6 (Batasan Hills) commander Supt. Segundo Lagundi as the one who is protecting drug pushers in the area. Ludovica said the police listed at least 123 ‘known’ drug personalities but they allegedly continue their illicit business. He accused Lagundi as the one giving orders to free arrested drug pushers. Councilor Ludovica asked Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte and his colleagues to demand an immediate investigation into the matter, the relief of Lagundi and to let the station’s personnel undergo a drug test. Lagundi on the other end could not be reach to comment as of press time.
