• QC increases incentives for top three graduates

The Quezon City government, on orders of Mayor Herbert Bautista, has authorized the increase of cash incentives for students graduating with honors this schoolyear in the city’s 142 public schools. Based on the mayor’s directive, students graduating as valedictorians will be provided with a P10,000 cash reward; salutatorians, with P6,000 and first honorable mention, with P4,000. The grant of cash rewards this school year is 50 percent more of what the city government has provided for in previous years, said Susan Baetiong, of the city’s school board.
